QUEEN’S PARK – Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson has taken on the role of Caucus Chair in the PC Caucus in addition to her existing duties as Critic for International Trade, as well as Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation.
“I am humbled at the opportunity to assist Vic Fedeli foster an environment whereby our candidates, together with Caucus, will be able to devise a credible and effective path forward as the clear choice for change in the June 7th provincial election,” said Thompson.
“I look forward to returning to the Legislature in February and holding the Liberals to account for their 14 years of waste. Ontarians deserve better, and this Liberal government has proven time and again that they just aren’t interested in doing what’s right for our province,” added Thompson.
In a media conference this morning, MPP Vic Fedeli—currently serving as Interim Leader of the PC Party— also announced that he would not be participating in the PC Party’s upcoming leadership election, slated for March 24th.
“Vic was the unanimous choice of Caucus to lead us during this interim time frame, and he is doing a tremendous job in the role. I wholeheartedly support his efforts to revitalize our Party, and will work closely with him to see this achieved,” concluded Thompson.
